Mathematical Modeling of the Hydrogen Adsorption Process

The paper considers the significance of the modeling and control problems solving for the pressure swing adsorption process in high-purity hydrogen production systems. The problem of mathematical models package development for hydrogen adsorption process by activated carbon is investigated. The state-of-art is analyzed and challenges are identified. The key point of the problem is revealed and the mathematical modeling argumentation is given. The hydrogen adsorption process dynamics is investigated using an isothermal convex isotherm model and an equilibrium linear isotherm model. The possibility of kinetic models approximating by equilibrium analogs with fictive coefficients is considered for highly efficient models development for control problems solving. The proposed solutions might be used in adsorption processes research and control problems solving.
