Psychological treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To perform a systematic review of randomised controlled trials of psychological treatments (excluding EMDR ‐ see published note) for PTSD following the guidelines of the Cochrane Collaboration. The efficacy of psychological treatments in comparison with control conditions and other psychological treatments will be determined using clinician rated symptoms of PTSD as the main outcome measure.
