Deep Transfer Network of Knee Osteoarthritis Progression Rate Classification in MR Imaging for Medical Imaging Support System

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a major condition that is the fourth principal cause of disability worldwide. In terms of diagnosis, OA severity is often assessed visually using radiographic imaging, which is susceptible to multi uncertainty and is time-consuming when dealing with big datasets. To address this concern, some researchers have adopted machine learning (AI) and have progressively acknowledged the relevance of deep learning in the healthcare or medical industry, like computer-assisted Osteoarthritis detection. This study also proposed a computer-aided diagnosis utilizing Knee Osteoarthritis Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and YOLOv3 algorithm to automatically detect the KOA severity. According to the findings of the study, the detection model has an mAP value of 96.58 % and a training precision of 98.73 %, and an evaluation accuracy of 99.32 %, respectively.
