The Effect of Induced Absorption on Lock-In of Frequencies in a Laser Gyroscope

A comparison of dead-band measurement results in an LG which were acquired using various methods was conducted. The difference in measurement results is theoretically explained. The influence of the induced absorption in dielectric mirrors of an LG resonator on the opposite waves coupling is experimentally investigated. A method of lock-in determination using non-linear distortion of the LG output signal is proposed.
