Abstract

Repurposing of these smallpox vaccines and antiviral agents might be weapons to fight monkeypox infection. Also, we recommend further investigations of smallpox vaccines and <i>Orthopoxvirus</i> inhibitors in a human model study to explore their exact role in human monkeypox infections.
