Quantitative Survey on Software Defined Networks (SDN) in VANETs

Software Defined Networks (SDN) can be integrated into VANETS to enhance VANET performances. The result of this integration will be an intelligent VANET. Many of the ongoing researchers working in this domain. Many IoT-VANET simulators are available nowadays. As a review study the result of previous models like Wi-Fi-VANETs is used for comparison purposes. Here software is used for two main purposes. First purpose is to examine V2V communication's performance with respect to the base station and SDN Manager. The second purpose is to check V2V communication performance checks with respect to GPS. Few parameters we consider for comparison are throughput, average delay in data transmission. With results one can conclude that SDN-VANETs are more reliable than traditional Wi-Fi-VANETs.
