Abstract

Shortening waiting lists for elective care is a key priority for the NHS. Surgical hubs are being established around the UK to provide access to timely care and protect elective resources. A roundtable discussion was held with representatives from 10 NHS organisations, considering the elements of a successful surgical hub and the systemic changes needed to optimise these facilities as part of the care system.
