Traumatic Forehead Mass: An Ultrasound Lens

This is the case of a 29-year-old healthy man who presented to the emergency department with a concern of forehead pain. History was significant for a blunt head trauma 2 months ago. The patient was initially told it was a hematoma, but it did not appear to be resolving. Since then, the patient had an outpatient ultrasound done that showed a masslike structure. Associated symptoms included intermittent headaches, denied vision changes, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or focal neurologic deficits. The physical examination demonstrated a pulsatile mass in the center of the forehead with no overlying erythema, induration, or fluctuance.
