Spectroradiometer accessories for near eye displays

The desired direction of high resolution, wide color gamut, augmented and virtual reality presents both opportunities and challenges when considering the spatial and spectral measurements of display technologies. This paper explores the capabilities of accessories for spectroradiometers to measure near eye displays. Two imaging accessories are described: 1) camera and 2) scanning mirror. Geometric considerations and imaging qualities are presented for the measurement of short and long focal length near eye displays.
