Accurate calibration for measurement of displays

The display metrology industry continues to demand more from spectral measurements. To be considered viable when measuring modern display technologies, any system must consider the uncertainty of the value it claims to provide. Considerations such as spectral accuracy and field aperture reproducibility are assessed for two case studies involving a spectroradiometer: 1) wavelength calibration and 2) radiometric calibration. The calibrations are examined for multiple spot sizes, which are commonly offered by spectroradiometer manufacturers.
