Upholding LGBTQ+ Inclusive Practices in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Purpose: The purpose of this tutorial is to provide ethical considerations for professionals and university clinics working with transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) individuals. Conclusions: With the recent wave of anti-LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) legislation, it is important that the discipline of communication sciences and disorders continue to hold high ethical standards of care and provide affirming services to all clients including TGD clients. The ethical scenarios outlined in this article seek to provide solutions and resources to consider when working with TGD individuals.
