MoleGraph: A Tool for Developing Scientific and Digital Skills in Schools

Probeware have been a part of science education for a relatively long time. With the support of polytechnic education, the introduction of "digital competencies" within the new informatics curriculum, and the development of the Industry 4.0 concept, working with probeware takes on an additional dimension. It is no longer just about using probeware for scientific measurements and exploring various phenomena and their principles, but also about understanding how such a probeware is constructed, how it operates, and how teachers can utilize it to develop students' competencies in areas such as: data interpretation, data structuring and visualization, modeling, coding, optimization, robotics, and more. These competencies are crucial for the proper and meaningful use of probeware not only in school but also in extracurricular practice, contributing to the development of digital and informatics literacy. In this paper, we present an open-source solution for a freely available school Probeware system MoleGraph, which can be built and subsequently used by interested parties, particularly in primary and secondary school education.
