The method of geosystem state control for making risk-oriented technical decisions to increase the mine workings stability

Abstract In this article, a problem of determining rock fracturing in layered anisotropic massifs is considered. Electrokinetic and transient processes occurred at roof destruction in structurally disturbed rocks in a zone of discontinuous dislocations were studied by the method of induced polarization. A novelty of this work is that anisotropy of rocks is used as a diagnostic parameter for studying the massif fracturing. The idea of the work was to study an electrisation of the fractured rocks in an electric field and to use the transient characteristics of the induced polarization effect as informative parameters for controlling the structural disturbance of a layered anisotropic massif. The main provisions of the method are presented, as well as the ways to research the massif disintegration when making risk-oriented technical decisions to increase stability of the mining workings. The method and the nomogram for determining the true coefficients of anisotropy at a complex stress state were developed. The method of controlling the complex disturbance with determining the rate of the roof disintegration in zones of discontinuous dislocations was experimentally substantiated.
