Evolution of Hospital Waste Management Practices: Past, current state, and future perspectives

Disposal of hospital waste is critical for protecting public health and the environment. This article focuses on analysis using RStudio and VOSviewer to examine trends in advanced technologies and sustainability initiatives. However, beyond technological advancements, the study also highlights significant challenges related to organizational inefficiencies, governance issues, environmental impacts, and infectious waste disposal. Addressing these challenges requires not only technological innovations but also policy reforms and enhanced regulatory frameworks. This study underlines the need for a comprehensive, collaborative approach and recommends the adoption of robust methods to improve the efficiency and safety of waste management practices.
