Suicide Risk Among Immigrants: The Role of Acculturation, Depression, and Identity Conflict

This paper investigates the complex psychological and sociocultural factors contributing to suicidal ideation among immigrants. It explores the influence of migration-related stress, cultural dissonance, and cognitive decline on identity loss and social isolation. Through a multidimensional analytical model, the study introduces an extended risk pathway integrating chronic trauma, linguistic regression, and early-onset dementia symptoms as hidden accelerators of mental vulnerability. The findings highlight the necessity for culturally-adapted assessments and targeted intervention policies to mitigate long-term risks.
