The Potential Discovery of a Circumstellar Disk in M20 from Rubin First Look

Abstract We report a new potential circumstellar or protoplanetary disk along the eastern edge of the M20 H ii region. The disk was discovered in the Rubin Observatory “First Look” image of the M8–M20 complex. The discovery is of note as few protoplanetary disk outside of M42 are known. No other new circumstellar disk candidates are identified in M8 or M20.
