[Navigating the health care system for patients with low- and high-risk breast cancer. Reviews of the current situation in different regions of Argentina].

A discussion panel was held at the close of the second international Buenos Aires Breast Cancer Symposium (BA-BCS) 2024. This space aims to bring together perspectives from various national divisions, including representatives from the field of management and medical care, to address specific problems in our community. The exchange sought to generate cooperative proposals that optimize the health system, benefiting patients, their families and treating physicians. The relevance of national healthcare programs was highlighted as a main reflection, with the navigator program being a key example. These programs are fundamental tools to comprehensively coordinate, organize, and overcome the economic and geographic barriers faced by breast cancer patients in different contexts. The possibility of maintaining and expanding these programs is a latent challenge that requires constant coordination between national and regional health policies and efficient implementation. This article summarizes each presentation and discussion held during the symposium's roundtable.
