COMO O ESTUDANTE DE GRADUAÇÃO COMPREENDE A OBRIGATORIEDADE DA EXTENSÃO CURRICULAR

Community extension is an interdisciplinary process that occurs between educational institutions and the community and that should promote social transformation, knowledge, information and culture. The development, production and practice applied by the academic community in line with teaching and research stimulate experiences even in the undergraduate context that will be valid for life, as they stimulate new perspectives and practices. In addition to new knowledge, extension promotes the academic's human and professional development, providing the expansion of social and personal resources, as well as capabilities and skills. In this sense, from 2023 onwards, extension in higher education in Brazil is an activity that integrates the curricular matrix with the research organization. Therefore, this study aims to report on the understanding of university students regarding the mandatory curricular extension, through reports and experiences lived in extension projects that participated in 2024. Originate reflections, based on the reports, contributions to continuous improvement in university extension activities.
