A Study on the Classification of Interactive Artworks in a Museum Gallery using IFC Schema and IDS

Abstract This study presents a new methodology of automatically checking the exhibits in expositional spaces and categorize the artworks as interactive or non-interactive. The proposed methodology for automatically checking is based on IFC and the IDS open standards. This can be useful for AEC industry and for the museum designers and gallery custodians allowing to better design and gather more data about the exhibits and museum spaces.
