Innovative Approaches to Enhancing Refugee Resilience and Self-Sufficiency in the Global South

This paper explores innovative approaches to enhancing refugee resilience and self-sufficiency in the Global South. It examines the key causes of forced migration, such as conflict and persecution, with a specific focus on South-South displacement. Through a qualitative methodology leveraging secondary data from academic manuscripts, reports, and archival materials, the paper provides critical analysis on the challenges faced by refugees and host nations. Social Capital Theory was used to underpin the literature and key analysis of the study. Key findings highlight the vulnerabilities of refugee populations, the rising number of children refugees, and the importance of policy recommendations to promote self-reliance and sustainable solutions within host communities.
