A compendium for the 2024 APA Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology: Guideline applications and resources.

Originally conceptualized as eight guidelines within the American Psychological Association's (APA's) 2013 <i>Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology</i>, field evolution and advancement in research necessitated revision. The 2024 <i>APA Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology</i> revised, updated, and expounded upon the original document to yield 11 guidelines focusing on competence of the psychologist; informed consent; data security, management, and transmission; data disposal; documentation; interjurisdictional practice; clinical best practices; testing and assessment; emergencies; supervision/training; and emerging technologies. The document aimed to guide psychologist's practices through broad discussions of relevant competencies. However, the task force recognized that psychologists may also benefit from supplemental-specific information on application of the broad competencies. The current discussion is designed as a compendium, created to provide psychologists with specific examples of educational targets for knowledge acquisition to foster adherence to the 2024 <i>APA Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology</i>.
