Novelties from the Flora of Andover, Essex Co., Massachusetts, U.S.A.

A project undertaken from 2015 to 2024 to survey all the conservation areas in Andover, Massachusetts, has revealed a number of plants that are newly documented here. Two species are new to Massachusetts, Impatiens parviflora DC. and Aldrovanda vesiculosa L.; two represent the first inland records of coastal halophytes; and 16 nonnatives are newly discovered or documented. All these records are documented with herbarium specimens, although in some cases, there were prior undocumented reports or iNaturalist records. Without herbarium specimens, there would be no permanent authoritative documentation for these records.
