Memories: Perspective of Intervention for the Safeguarding of Vernacular Earth Architecture

This research comprehensively addresses the multiple challenges and needs in the conservation and restoration of earthen buildings, proposing solutions based on an exhaustive and comparative analysis of practices and regulations at a global level. The integration of global intervention criteria, the identification of regulatory gaps, the exploration of restoration theories, and the classification and evaluation of construction methods, will contribute significantly to the advancement of the conservation of this valuable heritage. The use of database analysis, observation, and literature review ensures a thorough understanding of the topic. The elaboration of this work will be supported under the current experience and the reflection on it from a perspective, where the actions of protection of the historical and architectural value of vernacular architecture with earth are the first area. The search for the safeguarding process is a primary action prior to a proposal or plan, so mitigating and contending the deterioration of our heritage can be reached to a deeper extent.
