Abstract

This study identified and characterized lytic bacteriophages targeting carbapenem-resistant <i>Enterobacter cloacae</i> complex, with CYPEBC012 exhibiting the broadest host range and significantly improving survival in a murine bacteremia model. Its stability and efficacy highlight its potential for clinical application. Our findings demonstrate that phage therapy offers a promising alternative to conventional treatments to combat antibiotic-resistant infections.
