Research on Architectural Acoustic Optimal Strategies of Campus Lecture Halls--Taking the Lecture Hall of International Students' Apartment of Sun Yat-sen University as an Example

With the increasing functional demands of universities, the construction of campus lecture halls has become more and more common. In addition to being a venue for conference reports and academic lectures, university lecture halls are also used for comprehensive cultural performances, in particular. They not only require good speech clarity and intelligibility, but also have certain requirements for music effects. This study addresses the current inadequacies in acoustic design of university lecture halls. ODEON software is utilized to analyze the acoustic simulation of the lecture hall of International Students' Apartment of Sun Yat-sen University. It is found that the original design scheme has problems such as long reverberation time and high unevenness of sound field. By adjusting the interior design, the lecture hall has a reasonable reverberation time and ideal sound quality. These optimization measures can effectively guide the sound quality design of campus lecture halls.
