Inclusion of all <i>Anguilla</i> Eel Species in CITES Appendix II Will Support Their Sustainable Management Across the Globe

WD declares that, as chairman of the ICES/EIFAC eel working group 1987-2006, he pioneered the campaign to create awareness of the need for protection for the eel (European and others), and has led the development of scientific advice that gave rise to the EU Eel Regulation and the CITES listing.
