Blockchain and AI for Securing Electrical Infrastructure

The modern electric infrastructures face mounting complexity and cyber-physical threats, and hence, smart and secure solutions are a necessity. This paper presents a four-layered architecture integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain Technology for security and automation of a smart grid. Edge-based data collection enables real-time monitoring, while Hyperledger Fabric enables secure, immutable data storage. A CNN-LSTM model reports 97.3% accuracy and 96.8% F1 score on fault prediction with 2.1-second advance time. Blockchain computation is 390 TPS with 0.6-second latency. MATLAB Simulink simulations validate performance in microgrid application. Fault response time is reduced by 85% using the strategy. This combined system enhances predictive maintenance, resilience, and scalability.
