Cybersecurity Digital Twins: New Opportunities, New Risks

This article examines one aspect of digital transformation, namely, the consideration of a digital data subject as a digital twin and the risks that arise from this. So, it examines the need for a comprehensive approach to analyzing the risks and vulnerabilities of information systems with a multi-cloud architecture, as well as developing a strategy to ensure the secure processing of personal data. When working with information system with a multi-cloud architecture, specialists face challenges in configuration, management, and integration due to differences in the capabilities and security features of cloud service providers providing information system services. This results in a fragmented approach to information security that ignores such a crucial component of a multi-cloud architecture as intercloud communications, leading to the emergence of new attack vectors and potential vulnerabilities. The article highlights the main threats, attack vectors, and risks to personal data in multi-cloud environments.
