Introduction. Hepatitis C is a blood-borne infection with a feature of rapid spread. One of the main routes of transmission of hepatitis C is transfusion of blood and its components. The aim of the study. To establish the characteristics of the state of infection of donor blood for the presence of antibodies to hepatitis C in Ukraine in 2022-2024. Materials and methods. An epidemiological, single-stage, continuous, retrospective scientific study was conducted using a number of scientific medical and statistical methods: retrospective, copying, mathematical, graphic, abstract, deductive awareness, structural and logical analysis taking into account the principles of systematicity. Screening of donor blood for the presence of antibodies to hepatitis C in the blood service of Ukraine was carried out using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method. Results. In 2022, 481.873 blood donor examinations were conducted, in 2023 - 461,866 blood donor examinations, in 2024 - 398.513 blood donor examinations. Analysis of the dynamics of the average republican prevalence rate of hepatitis C markers per 100 thousand population for 2022, 2023, 2024 with deviation index of 654.1, 491.0 and 440.0, respectively, with a deviation rate in 2023 (-) 163.1, in 2024 (-) 51.0, which demonstrates a positive epidemiological trend. The conducted studies allowed us to clearly determine the ranking of the epidemiological deviation indicator from the lowest to the highest, namely: between 2022 and 2023 - from (-) 529.4 to (-) 5.5 with a positive trend in the epidemiological situation. Only one administrative-territorial unit had (+) 45.4 during this period. The dynamics of the deviation indicator of the prevalence of hepatitis C markers between 2023 and 2024 had the following characteristics: from (-) 360.3 to (-) 10.7 with a positive epidemiological trend. The negative epidemiological trend was in the range from (+) 74.1 to (+) 58.7.
