Perspectives from Deaf Studies and Black/Africana Studies - Panel Discussions

The panel, titled Perspectives from Deaf Studies and Black/Africana Studies, convened scholars to critically examine the intersection of race, Deaf identity, and academia. The discussion highlighted the historical marginalization of Black Deaf individuals, especially in educational institutions like Gallaudet, and the need to preserve their stories through culturally relevant research.
