Beyond Gross Domestic Product: through Artificial Intelligence-A Holistic Economic Measurement Model with reference to the United Arab Emirates

Economic metrics like Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and unemployment statistics are not able to capture key dimensions of resilience in economies, such as employees' sentiment, social cohesion and well-being. The current research introduces a measuring system based on Artificial Intelligence(AI), making use of Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and real-time big data analysis thus moving beyond traditional backward-looking frameworks. The sentiment analysis application based on AI has increased power of prediction by about 35-50% compared to typical models (OECD, 2023), thereby mitigating limitations related to backward-looking economic appraisals. This study presents a novel computational methodology involving Job Market Sentiment (JMS), Mental Health Index (MHI), Social Cohesion Index (SCI), and Economic Growth (EG) in designing a contemporaneous Economic Stability Index (ESI). It enhances the quick response of policies, maximizes labor market performance, and builds resilience in economies by providing contemporaneous economic information enriched by artificial intelligence. The research contributes to the discipline inasmuch as it reveals how analytics with AI can correct limitations in economic analyses, thus supporting sustainable and inclusive growth. This research represents a proposed framework and conceptual methodology.
