Hybrid Model of Foreign Language Teaching and Learning

Modern developments in remote access technologies enable students to receive and transmit the necessary information through a wide range of IT applications for video conferencing. This will provide the continuous updating of the knowledge gained, ensuring the graduate's competitiveness in the labor market. The authors diagnosed the satisfaction of university teachers and students with the hybrid learning format using video conferencing software. The research aimed to develop a hybrid learning model of teaching a foreign language to university students using the optimal tools, algorithms and computer technologies that contribute to the successful development of the prescribed learning outcomes. The authors summarized the views of some practicing teachers on using distance and hybrid learning technologies in foreign language teaching, designed a sample hybrid model of foreign language teaching in a technical (sector-related) university, and elaborated a set of methodological recommendations on how to use the model in the digital environment.
