Endosalpingiosis of the Urinary Bladder: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Endosalpingiosis is a rare, non-neoplastic condition characterized by the presence of fallopian tube-type epithelium at ectopic sites. Its occurrence in the urinary bladder is exceedingly uncommon, with only a handful of reported cases. This report details a case of urinary bladder endosalpingiosis in a 58-year-old woman who presented with recurrent urinary symptoms and a history of incidental bladder injury during a caesarean section. Initial clinical and radiological findings suggested a bladder tumor, but histopathological examination, supplemented by immunohistochemistry, confirmed the diagnosis of endosalpingiosis. Follow-up studies showed no recurrence.
