Abstract

Why Is This Important?This study validates quantitative percussion diagnostics for detecting microgap defects at early stages in the periodontium.Combining clinical data and finite element analysis simulations, results show that quantitative percussion diagnostics objectively identify periodontal ligament damage before radiographic evidence.
