GGOS Japan -Platform for enhancing country-level geodetic collaboration-

GGOS Japan is the first GGOS Affiliate which was established in 2013 as “GGOS Working Group” in Japan. GGOS Japan is basically a loose network, but it provides forum for Japanese geodetic community to mutually exchange knowledge and information on core space geodetic techniques and recent hot topics in the global geodetic community. Focus of the GGOS Japan includes outreach of value of geodesy, collaborative local tie survey at geodetic observatories in Japan, WGs on hot topics such as data DOIs and marine geodesy, and geodetic capacity development and so on. GGOS Japan also has hosted and organized domestic and international geodesy meetings and is seeking more opportunity to further collaborate with colleagues in the global geodetic community.
