This dataset provides a comprehensive collection of simulation data for Flying Ad hoc Networks (FANETs) generated using NS-3.40. It includes packet-level traces, node states, QoS metrics, and OLSR routing information for eight distinct UAV communication scenarios with varying node densities, mobility speeds, energy capacities, transmission ranges, traffic types, and communication architectures. Version 2 includes the following enhancements:- Corrected PDR and ETX metrics, now computed solely on application-layer DATA packets (standard definition).- Time aggregation window for QoS metrics increased from 0.5 s to 3 s for improved statistical stability.- Enriched OLSR link data with five new columns: packetUid, last_hello_received_time_s, nb_hello, new_link, link_age_s.- A new folder `Example_of_ML_ready/` containing pre‑processed files for a machine learning task (link lifetime prediction), demonstrating how the dataset can be used for AI/ML research.- Full source code (`Source_Code_NS3_and_Python/`) to reproduce the dataset, including modified NS‑3 files (OLSR, IPv4‑L3) and Python post‑processing scripts. This dataset supports research in UAV communication, network performance analysis, and the design of intelligent routing protocols using AI and machine learning techniques. All files are released under CC BY 4.0.
