D4.2 EOSC Compatible National PID Recommendation

This deliverable presents a national set of recommendations to strengthen Ireland's Persistent Identifier ecosystem and ensure alignment with European interoperability expectations. It builds on Ireland's existing PID Strategy and Roadmap and identifies targeted actions needed to meet the requirements of the EOSC PID Policy. Implementation of these recommendations will position Ireland to participate fully in the EOSC Federation, maximise the return on investment in research infrastructure and support the broader goals of Impact 2030: Ireland’s Research and Innovation Strategy and the National Action Plan for Open Research 2022-2030. This deliverable was funded in May 2025 under the RDA TIGER Cascade Grant Scheme, awarded jointly to Ireland's National Open Research Forum (NORF) and HEAnet, Ireland's National Research and Education Network and EOSC Mandated Organisation.
