Evaluation at Land off Faraday Rd, Lenton

Archaeological excavation of eight archaeological trial trenches, each positioned to assess geophysical anomalies. All work was carried out in line with an approved Written Scheme of Investigation The excavation of the trenches identified a single gully, which was interpreted as being of 16th or 17th century date due to the recovery of brick and tile of the same date. A small amount of undiagnostic large mammal bone was also recovered from the same feature. No further archaeological finds, features or deposits were noted within the site boundary.
