My journey to becoming a Research Data Steward

This video is a talk from the Data Steward Stories session at the CaSDaR Townhall Launch event on the 18th September 2025, in person at the Library of Birmingham and online. The presentation speaker was Angharad Green from UCL. Speaker Bio: After a career as a researcher in the area of bacterial genomics and microbial evolution , Angharad became a senior research data steward at UCL. Her experience in whole genome sequencing, transcriptomics, and metabolomics gave her the necessary skills to provide support in the management of large, complex data sets and to train others to do so as well. At the CaSDaR launch event Angharad described her journey from a research career, addressing the importance of antimicrobial resistance as a global challenge, to working as a data steward as well as present her poster on the work of the ARC-UCL data stewardship team.
