The Emotional Data Model (EDM) v0.7.0 defines a governed, schema-bound representational architecture for encoding affective context as a stable, machine-interpretable data object. Unlike contemporary AI systems where emotional signals remain transient and architecture-bound, EDM externalises affective context into a structured manifold with explicit field definitions, in-band governance, and strict separation between representation, persistence, and computation layers. Artifacts are preserved within the .ddna envelope—a byte-stable container providing cryptographic integrity via W3C Data Integrity Proofs (eddsa-jcs-2022), sovereignty guarantees, and cross-vendor portability. v0.7.0 extends the v0.6.0 Implementation Profile architecture with seven structural additions and four field deprecations. The arc_type field is added to the Constellation domain, providing twelve canonical narrative arc values with free-text extension support. The Extensions domain is introduced as the eleventh domain of the Full Profile, enabling partner-namespaced semantic enrichments that travel with the artifact at seal time but are classified as vendor-local under the domain portability architecture formalised in Section 3.9. The meta.source_timestamp field anchors artifacts temporally to the original experience rather than the extraction event. Three enumeration values are added to emotion_primary (disappointment, relief, frustration) and two to narrative_arc (loss, confrontation). Hard enum constraints are relaxed on tether_type, recurrence_pattern, coping_style, and relational_dynamics to accept free-text values, implementing a two-tier canonical-plus-extension enum model. Four fields are deprecated: gravity.legacy_embed, telemetry.alignment_delta, system.indices.sector_weights, and crosswalks.HMD_v2_memory_type. Certified conformance is available to Extended and Full Profile artifacts. Essential Profile artifacts are not eligible for Certified conformance. Domain portability is formally specified: nine domains are portable across system boundaries (Meta, Core, Constellation, Milky_Way, Gravity, Impulse, Governance, Telemetry, Crosswalks); two domains are vendor-local (System, Extensions). Canonical enumerations were validated through end-to-end corpus evaluation across three independent LLM providers. EDM addresses the representational deficit in current intelligent systems by transforming implicit emotional states into explicit, rights-bearing data objects capable of surviving across model generations, computational paradigms, and regulatory environments.
