Coherent Control of Ultrafast Currents for Terahertz Magnetic Fields

We investigate ultrafast THz magnetic field generation using spatially structured bichromatic femtosecond laser pulses. These pulses induce and control transient currents in GaAs, producing THz magnetic fields with rapid rise times. Such ultrafast magnetic fields have potential applications in controlling magnetic materials, imaging, and spintronics.
