From Detection to Depletion: Cost-Exchange Limits in the Russia–Ukraine Drone War

This research report examines the sustainability limits of counter-drone defense under sustained saturation conditions, using the Russia–Ukraine war as an empirical case. It applies a Minimum Viable, Auditable (MVA) analytical framework to shift evaluation from intercept rates toward cost sustainability and mission outcomes. Key indicators include Cost per Loss Avoided (CPLA), composite cost–exchange ratios, and asset preservation dynamics.
