COMMUNITY – A LOST MYTH…? HUMAN SECURITY IN TIMES OF SEPARATION

The community appears to be a point of reference for man, his orientation and self-determination. The individual finds and perceives himself through what is supra-individual, what is community and social. Through the prism of community, man shapes an essential sense of security, founded on his self-image reflected in the multitude of co-existences. Being among others, being with others becomes a carrier of meaning; the other person is the one who expresses and tells the world at the same time, creating the world at the same time. In this way, a myth is born. Myth (mythos) - a word, a story that foundations a structure recognized by man - a network of mutual connections and references, a relational world known to man, ordered by the power of words: the world of interpersonal relationships and the relationship of man to external reality. Organizing reality through narratives introduced into it also tamed the world, making it a place of safe existence. Over time, the growing story absorbed/subordinated man and people in their relational relationship - it was transformed into a myth of community, a myth necessarily exposed to perdition.
