Functional Taxonomy of Non-Biological Intelligence: AI, AGI, ASI, SI, SSI

This preprint proposes a rigorous taxonomy for classifying current and emerging non-biological intelligence systems. Historical categories (AI, AGI, ASI) suffer from conceptual ambiguity. We introduce two operational categories: SI (Synthetic Intelligence) and SSI (Synthetic Super Intelligence), enabling a more precise description of advanced cognitive architectures such as orchestrated multi-agent systems and distributed cognitive entities.
