A data set to store gait data of healthy subjects. The goal is to recruit healthy volunteers of different genders and age ranges (and possibly weights and heights) to characterize their gait through the orientation of their right hip as they walk on the gold-standard GAITRite (R) walkway at the Bellier University Hospital in Nantes, France. Orientation data was collected using an IMU clipped on the belt of the individuals at the level of their right hip. The IMU is the MMR-5 model manufactured by MbientLab Inc (hardware version 0.1, firmware version 1.7.3). Patch release v0.1.1 In this version, we fixed speed data which was previously not stored in the correct order. Initial release v0.1.0 The current version v0.1.0 contains 174 walking sessions of a total of six individuals. Acknowledgments This work was supported by the DEMAR'AGE project funded by the I-Site NExT (Nantes Excellence Trajectory) and by the French government through the French National Research Agency and the investment plan France 2030. Financers include Nantes University, Nantes Métropole and the Pays de la Loire Region. We would also like to thank our colleagues from the Department of Geriatrics at Nantes University Hospital for granting us access to their clinical facilities and, in particular, to the GAITRite® system.
