A Hybrid Bit-Reordering and Permutation-Based Cryptographic Technique for Secure Communication

This paper proposes a novel cryptographic method that combines a unique bit-reordering scheme with a key-based permutation to enhance security in intelligent information and communication systems. The method first converts plaintext to its binary representation and reorders the bits using a cumulative concatenation pattern, starting with the first and last bits, followed by incrementally longer subsequences. The resulting bit sequence is then encrypted using a random permutation key, adding a robust security layer. This hybrid approach is lightweight, making it suitable for resource-constrained environments like IoT devices, and aligns with evolving trends in secure communication systems. We describe the algorithm, evaluate its security, and discuss its applications.
