Improved Decoupling Control Strategy for IPMSM Drives with Online Inductance Estimation Method

This paper proposes an improved decoupling control strategy for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) using online inductance estimation to enhance control performance across full operating ranges. The strategy integrates model reference adaptive control (MRAC) with feedforward and feedback compensation to ensure estimation accuracy and system robustness. An active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC) is embedded in the decoupling controller to dynamically compensate voltage drops, significantly enhancing control precision. Experimental results demonstrate superior speed/torque tracking performance and accurate inductance estimation, effectively improving the drive system’s operational robustness.
