Mathematical model for predicting the stress-strain behaviour and heat-mass transfer of freezing soils

Based on the known experimental data the physics of soil freezing is discussed. A model for predicting coupled stress-strain behaviour and heat-mass transfer of freezing soils is proposed in accordance with the general thermodynamic approach.
