This research study focuses on determining whether an organisation is ready to integrate blockchain technology into its KPI system for measuring employee performance during endemics (post-Covid-19), including the Flexible Working Arrangements (FWA) itself, Work from Anywhere (WFA), Flexible Working Hours (Flextime), and 5G Services (5GS). Consequently, creating and building the proposed concept system (Blockchain KPI System) can aid in better understanding this research topic hypothetically. The objective of this research study was to seek the readiness to embrace the Flexible Working Arrangements (FWAs) during endemic phase with the help of the proposed concept system (Blockchain KPI System) and the 5G Network-Edge as support on what kind of jobs scopes that can apply this concept where this could affect employees' performances. People from Brunei Darussalam currently employed in the public or private sectors will make up the majority of the sample population for this study. Decentralisation, security, timestamps, and the cryptographic hash function benefit from integrating blockchain technology into the KPI system. The research methodology focuses on three methods: (i) Primary data collection will come through questionnaires, which will be analysed and yield analysis results using a variety of statistical analysis techniques using IBM SPSS software, (ii) Data crawling will also be conducted – sentiment analysis, and (iii) Forecasting on Flexible Working Arrangement in the future that was based on the dataset from primary data via RapidMiner software. Work from Anywhere, Flextime and 5G Services were considered independent variables. On the other hand, the proposed Blockchain KPI system is the dependent variable. The results indicate that during the endemic phase or new normal, Work from Anywhere, Flextime, and 5G Services have a positive relationship with the proposed concept system. Hence, from the analysis and the results, it can be affirmed that FWA can be implemented in Brunei Darussalam based on the demands, technology, and strong policies to support embracing flexible working arrangements – work from anywhere or flextime.
