A data set to assess the impact of initial IMU orientation to monitor gait. The goal is to recruit healthy volunteers of different genders and age ranges (and possibly weights and heights) to characterize their gait through the orientation of their right hip over time. Orientation data was collected using an IMU clipped on the belt of the individuals at the level of their right hip. The IMU is the MMR-5 model manufactured by MbientLab Inc (hardware version 0.1, firmware version 1.7.3). This specific data set has been collected with the aim of assessing the impact of the initial IMU orientation. Initial release v0.1.0 The current version v0.1.0 contains 798 walking sessions of a total of 4 individuals with up to 5 different initial orientations.
